Track size, surface, and configuration shape every figure.
A 1:53 mile at a half-mile bullring is a very different performance from a 1:53 mile at The Meadowlands. Track variant work normalizes figures across tracks so a 78 means the same thing everywhere.
First Over holds variant common at the card level (same-day lines) and lets you tune parked credit to the track size.
