Win / Place / Show
The three straight wagers — win, top two, top three.
Straight wagers are the foundation. Win pays for a 1st-place finish. Place pays for 1st or 2nd. Show pays for 1st, 2nd, or 3rd.
Place and show pool sizes are smaller and more inefficient — sometimes that's where the overlay actually lives.
